2019 Trailblazer Companies

The TRAILBLAZER CAMPAIGN is made up of select companies who agree to conduct an early campaign with outstanding results, providing an example of community caring for the rest of the community to follow.

These leading companies set challenging goals, conduct a model campaign and announce their results before the general campaign kickoff, setting the tone for success.

BENEFITS TO TRAILBLAZER COMPANIES AND CALENDAR
• Concentrated United Way staff support and planning assistance
• Individualized coordinator training
• High-profile visibility, including recognition at several key United Way events
• Early campaign time frame allows greater access to agency speakers and tours

EXPECTATIONS OF A TRAILBLAZER
• Name a dynamic coordinator to recruit an internal campaign team
• Recruit internal campaign team including representatives from all segments of your organization
• Run campaign in the summer, ending before August 31st
• Set an aggressive goal (aim for a 10-12% increase)
• CEO and ECC attend Trailblazer Events
• Provide a representative(s) to attend Day of Caring Kick Off to announce goal
• Plan and conduct a Model Campaign utilizing the 9 Steps for Success
• Turn in your final results (campaign report) to United Way Campaign Staff in early September 
• Attend Unite! Celebration on November 8th. All Trailblazer companies will again be recognized
