Partnership Development Manager

TAUW’s Partnership Development Manager will cultivate relationships, develop innovative partnerships, and create alliances and networks to engage the broader community in solving problems. This role will work cross functionally with TAUW executive leadership and the Marketing and Resource Development departments. Successful outcomes will lead to increased awareness and support for the Tulsa Area United Way’s mission, and, ultimately, reaching the annual campaign goal.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Strategic Partnership Development
    • Maintain a visible profile in the community by developing relationships with organizations that will further promote and enhance the United Way, such as the Tulsa Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Tulsa Latin American Chamber of Commerce, and other organizations in the region such as the cities of Bixby, Broken Arrow, Jenks, etc.
  2. Community Outreach and Engagement
    • Develop outreach strategy to engage the area’s Latinx community in TAUW fundraising campaigns, events and volunteerism.
    • Plan and lead events within the Latinx community that generate awareness of TAUW’s mission and vision.
    • Speak at campaign kickoff meetings.
    • Speak at other events as assigned.
  3. Relationship Building
    • Engage with key volunteers within TAUW’s affinity group steering committees and build strong, mutually beneficial relationships with key stakeholders that increase revenue and expand opportunities.
    • Provide meaningful experiences for United Way donors through membership in affinity organizations, community service and professional development opportunities, with support of Marketing team.
    • Provide strategic direction and support for affinity groups including vision/mission, governance, volunteer leadership, and meeting and event preparation.
    • Define, plan and provide community service and professional development opportunities for affinity group members.
    • Attract sponsorships and develop budgets for all affinity group events.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Entrepreneurial and innovative thinking
  • Ability to present information and data in written, electronic and oral forms
  • Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Must have the use of a reliable vehicle for transportation to outside meetings
  • Requires the ability to multi-task between workplace campaign, individual giving, meetings, special events and strategic thinking.
  • Requires presence during occasional noncore hours and a consistent relationship- building attitude
  • Bachelor’s Degree

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Requires time away from the office, traveling by car, walking to appointments and taking stairs.
  • Requires a normal amount of typing and data entry for customer relationship management.
  • TAUW hosts multiple events throughout the year which are held in both indoor and outdoor locations.
  • Working occasional evening and weekend hours is necessary due to after-hours events.
  • Interactions beyond staff include communications with volunteers, donors, agency directors, board and cabinet members and the general public.
  • Evolving communications technology and methods require continuing professional development and training, with approved costs covered by TAUW.
