Domestic Violence Intervention Services (DVIS) provides counseling, shelter, transitional living, court advocacy and education services to families affected by domestic and sexual violence.

 

Court Advocate: Volunteers help victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and stalking file protective orders at the Family Safety Center. DVIS provides an extensive training program and mentoring. Daytime hours M-F, flexible schedule.

 

Child Care Volunteer: Volunteers supervise children at the Apache office, shelter, or Family Safety Center while parents attend counseling sessions or fill out protective orders. DVIS provides an extensive training program and mentoring. Daytime hours M-F and some evenings, flexible schedule.

 

Office Assistant/Admin: Assist in office by answering telephone, filing, computer entry, helping with large mailings, answering basic client questions, etc. This position is available at all DVIS sites including the Harvard office, shelter, and Family Safety Center and Sapulpa. 

 

Agency Fairs: Represent DVIS at community and corporate events. Provide information, fliers, and collect information from potential volunteers. Set up table with materials and take down table, returning materials to DVIS office. Agency fairs are available to volunteers as we receive requests and need is communicated through email by Volunteer Coordinator.

Seasonal: Help in our donation rooms as needed by organizing and sorting donations. Provide assistance for Adopt-A-Family holiday program with gift wrapping, assisting clients with loading gifts into vehicles, and providing donors with tax receipts.
