Center for Individuals with Physical Challenges provides a variety of rehabilitative fitness, adaptive sports, recreation programs, and community outings for people with physical challenges.

Powerlifting Volunteers – Seeking volunteers to assist during our parapowerlifting class MWF 1:00 – 2:00; select days if unable to be available for all days. Volunteers will provide support to sport staff working with our athletes, assisting as spotters & developing our program as a site for Qualifying events. Orientation & ongoing feedback provided as volunteer training component; COVID safety protocols in place to ensure community safety.

Fitness Center Volunteers – Seeking volunteers to assist in our fitness center providing support to Members training & engaging in individual fitness routines Monday – Friday 9:00 -4:00. Tasks include assisting for set up, monitoring for safety, assisting to record personal sessions.  Orientation & ongoing feedback provided as volunteer training component; COVID safety protocols in place to ensure community safety.

Art Studio Volunteers – Seeking volunteers to assist in our art studio Monday – Friday 9:00 - 4:00 providing support through scheduled classes and open studio hours. Tasks include working alongside our art instructor engaging with Member artists to stimulate creativity. Orientation & ongoing feedback provided as volunteer training component; COVID safety protocols in place to ensure  community safety.

Boccia Volunteers – Seeking volunteers to assist with indoor boccia Mondays & or Fridays 3:00 -4:00. Volunteers will work alongside staff to instruct & officiate court play, and provide boccia ramp angle assistance for players with lesser mobility. Orientation & instruction provided to familiarize self with the sport; COVID safety protocols in place to ensure community safety.

Pool Volunteers – Seeking volunteers interested in assisting with pool cleaning maintenance inside & outside of therapy pool. Volunteer must be comfortable entering & exiting water to reach areas of tile, steps, walls & rails. Orientation and instruction provided by fitness staff; volunteer opportunity available for various days/hours to meet volunteer schedule.

Garden Class Volunteer – Seeking volunteers interested in supporting our Horticulture Program. Opportunity includes working with our instructor to teach & work with Members in class which meets Mondays & Wednesdays 10:00 – 12:00. Various projects & learning opportunities available for our participants who love to learn and share. Orientation & instruction provided to familiarize self with the class; COVID safety protocols in place to ensure community safety.
