Big Brothers Big Sisters facilitates 1-to-1 mentoring friendships between children and caring volunteers through community and site-based programs.

Community Based Mentoring: A traditional mentoring program where volunteers hang out with their Little in the community. Time commitment and frequency may change from month to month, but BBBS requests that volunteers visit their Littles 2-3 times per month.

School Based Mentoring: A program for volunteers who would like to visit their Little during the workday (often over lunch). Mentors spend 1 hour a week with their little at a local elementary school; activities vary but can include board games, basketball, the jungle gym, or simply eating together. While volunteers only visit their Little during the school year, they are encouraged to communicate during the summer months.
